Immersion Patch – Quest Vehicle Motion Fixes v1.2
This mod aims to fix immersion-breaking quest vehicle motion glitches.
Require
ArchiveXL
What it currently does:
With a Little Help from My Friends: Fixes Aldecaldos’ cars visibly clipping into the ground during action-packed rides.
Ghost Town: Tweaks various vehicle ride glitches throughout the quest, improving cinematic flow and preserving overall immersion.
All Along the Watchtower: Tweaks Panam’s and Mitch’s car motion glitches, improving immersion during the ride to the gathering point.
Goodbye, Night City: Tweaks the final scene’s car motion glitches that cause unnatural rotations before moving out.
Life During Wartime: Tweaks Panam’s bike ride when approaching a vantage point near the gas station.
WIP (Work in progress): More fixes may be added if I spot other outstanding issues in this category.
Please note:
This mod focuses on the most outstanding immersion-breaking issues rather than trying to make everything perfect.
Many quest details were designed years ago and no longer fully align with later game updates.
Restoring full consistency would require significant effort and could be undone by future updates, as quest logic, world details, and object mechanics change between versions quite often.
Compatibility info:
Game support:
Game v2.0 or higher. Do not use with previous game versions!
Developed and tested on game versions 2.02 – 2.31.
Archive-XL support:
Any version that is compatible with the supported game versions.
Compatibility with other mods:
This is an Archive-XL mod, which can tweak some of the game’s internal data without replacing the game’s files. Other mods that modify the same data in the same way may override this mod (effectively disabling it), or this mod may override them – it all depends on the Archive-XL data load order.
Since this mod precisely targets specific vehicle-related data in the listed quests, it cannot cause general issues when combined with other mods.
Any potential conflicts would be limited to those data changes and, in any case, would not cause harm.
That said, the likelihood of a conflict is very low, as there don’t appear to be any mods modifying this specific data in such a way as of writing.
Issue Reporting:
In case of issues, please make sure to update the mod and its requirements to the latest supported versions first.
DO NOT assume you already have the latest versions installed – verify by checking the mod pages.
If you still experience some unexpected mod functionality on the supported game and requirements versions, please first verify it with all other mods disabled (with the exception to the required mods and their dependencies) before reporting.
Additionally, please provide details allowing to identity and reproduce the issue in your report.
