Keyboard and Mouse Controls Overhaul (Primary E everywhere)
For everyone who is upset by how limited key mappings’ menu is in the game.
There is only one primary interaction key (E) instead of a strange default E/F combo.
The mod is requirement-free and only remaps vanilla controls:
1) unifies primary interaction key for UI panels and in-game (as E by default),
2) makes RMB work as additional “back” key to dismiss popups or exit menus,
3) maps some actions to “intuitively obvious” keys (I – inventory, P – perks, C – cyberware, G – grenade, Tab – overview [hub] and so on),
4) preview rotation with A / D.
Suggestions and feedback are welcome.
Installation
Unzip main files into game directory with override.
I also recommend resetting to default keys just in case.
By default your keys are preserved (except of the F key, obviously).
Second primary interaction key (UI Panels) will be unused.
Optional step
Additionally, if you are a perfectionist and want an empty input field gone – unzip an optional file into game directory with override.
However, this will reset the whole configurations’ menu.
Warning
There is a placeholder in the character creation menu: ROTATE Q / E
hardcoded by CDPR. Please, ignore it. Rotation keys are “A” and “D”, so
