MODEL YOUR OWN VISION OF NIGHT CITY STREETS
You can customize every district to your personal preference. Fill the streets with dangerous gangers, increase the NCPD presence for a oppresive feel or just add public transport and utility vehicles for a prettier and peaceful city. Or maybe all together.

CUSTOMIZATION
For each district, there are sliders for every category of vehicles that can be spawn, gang vehicles on their turf, NPCD patrols, taxi cabs, delamanains, buses, utility vehicles, and your modded vehicles.

In the sliders “1” is very rare and “10” very common (at least one vehicle in every street). If you set 10 for the gang slider traveling in their turf becomes a nightmare.

Apply the settings and load a save for the changes to make effect.

HOW THE REPLACEMENT WORKS

The vehicle swap is done in a “vanilla like” way. The selected vehicles are placed randomly in the streets, replacing vehicle entities in the vehicle pools of every street, so it is a static replacement for every game load. It is not dynamic. This means you will encounter the same type of added vehicles in the same street, until you load a new save.
Another thing to point out is that the mod it is not replacing one vehicle type to strictly another one. It picks up some traffic vehicle entry in a street, let’s say it is a Mahir Supron, and it replaces the individual entry on that street with some vehicle that you added, it does not replace all the Mahir Supron on the map.

MODDED VEHICLES SUPPORT
You can add your modded vehicles for each district to the lists in “r6/scripts/NightCityTrafficOverhaul/NCTOmoddedVehicles.reds”. Just add the entity name (For example: “Vehicle.oranje3_militech_legatus”) to the list, respecting the given format.
Then adjust the sliders in the mod settings for every district.

Instructions:
1. Open the “NCTOmoddedVehicles.reds” file located in “r6/scripts/NightCityTrafficOverhaul/”.
2. Find the list of the district that you want to add your modded vehicles in.
3. The “Vehicle.v_sport2_porsche_911turbo” entries are examples/placeholders, remove them.
4. Add your modded vehicles entity names (TweakDBID) in the desired district lists following the instructions.
5. Then start the game and increase the “Modded Vehicles” sliders in the respective districts.

PROBABILITY OF SPAWN:
. Multiplicate the entries of the vehicles that you want to spawn more often.

FORMAT:
Make sure to:
. Add a “t” before the vehicle entity name
. Make sure to add a “,” after every entry but not in the last one.
. If you have only one entry, then don’t put any “,”.

Follow the given format below:

. The vehicle swap is done in every game load so there is no performance cost from that.
. The performance impact of the vehicles in the streets, depends on your hardware, your traffic density, and the amount of vehicles and characters that you set to spawn.
. Also, I understand that some modded vehicles in the streets can also impact performance, so keep that in mind.

OPTIONAL FILES
. INCREASED VEHICLE TRAFFIC DENSITY:
- I included two optional files to increase the vehicle traffic density of the game for the low, medium and high presets. Pedestrian density is untouched. Choose one file (1.5x or 2x).
. CYBERPUNK 2.3 VERSION COMPATIBILITY:
– If you are still on 2.3, make sure to grab the optional “database” file and replace the main file.

COMPATIBILITY
. Taxi Work in Night City : Compatible and recommended.
- If you have both mods installed, the taxis from the Taxi Work mod would take priority and would be spawned.
. NIGHT CITY ALIVE : Compatible and recommended.
- NCA introduces factions relations so you will see chases and clashes around you. But if you want to prevent the gang passenger spawn from NCA, delete the tweak folder named “vehicles” in “mods\NIGHT CITY ALIVE\tweaks\base\gameplay\static_data\database”.
. They Will Remember : Compatible and recommended.
. Drive a Bus : compatible and recommended.
– You will be able to ride the bus as a passenger or drive it around the city.
. No More Duplicate Vehicles : Compatible.

INCOMPATIBILITY
. Mod my traffic: Incompatible. Crashes reported.
. Law Enfocement Overhaul. Incompatible.

KNOW ISSUES
. If the engine is overloaded and it needs to despawn some entities, it will make characters and vehicles vanish when you look away, like it usually does.
. Sometimes the vehicles can spawn on top of another one.

MODDED VEHICLES CRASH TROUBLESHOOT
If you type something wrong or the modded vehicle you tried to add isn’t supported to be spawned in the traffic, you could experience crashes. Possible cases after adding a modded vehicle:

1. The game crashes on start:
- Check the “NCTOmoddedVehicles.reds” file for missing commas, or extra commas or check if you followed the given format.
- Check the gamelog to see the exact error in “r6\logs\redscript_rCURRENT.log” file. In the bottom just read the error.

2. The game crashes when loading a save or when entering a particular area:
- Chances are that your modded vehicle is not supported to be spawned in traffic or it has some issues. Try removing the last added vehicle from the lists and try again.
